Fr. Resty was born on December 06, 1972. He joined the Scalabrinians in 1991. He took his first vows in 1994 and his perpetual vows in 1998. He was ordained to the priesthood in April 1999. Soon after ordination, he was assigned as Scalabrinian missionary to South Australia from June 1999 to February 2000 and worked as Filipino Chaplain for the Archdiocese of Adelaide. From February 2000 he was transferred to New South Wales. He was assigned to St. Kevin’s Parish as Assistant Parish Priest and Filipino Chaplain for the Diocese of Broken Bay. From September 2003, he received a new mission assignment to Japan as Filipino chaplain for the Archdiocese of Tokyo until April 2014. From June 2014, he will take on the role as Executive Secretary of the Episcopal Commission of Migrants and Itinerants (ECMI) of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP).
