Research and Publications

Background

Fr. Roberto M. Boholst, S.J. is an educator by profession who worked as a teacher and Science Area Coordinator in Pilar College, Zamboanga City before he joined the Jesuits. For his regency, he served as Guidance Counselor and English Teacher at the Jesuit-run diocesan senior high school, Colégio de São José in East Timor. As a Theology student, he was assigned as one of the co-directors of Arvisu House Jesuit Candidacy in Quezon City.

After ordination, he was sent to East Timor to do his pastoral year and he was first assigned as Vice-Director for Administration and Finance of the then newly opened Colégio de Sto. Inácio de Loiola, the Jesuit Junior and Senior High School in East Timor. He was moved to the Jesuit parish in Railaco and he served as the School Director of the parochial senior high school, Escola Secundária Católica Nossa Senhora de Fátima—Railaco. His last assignment was as School Director of Colégio de Sto. Inácio de Loiola. He also served as Education Delegate of the Independent Region of the Society of Jesus in East Timor.

At present, he serves as Prefect of Studies of the First Studies Jesuits of Loyola House of Studies in Quezon City while pursuing a Master of Arts in Educational Administration at the Ateneo de Manila University. He also serves as Delegate for Regents of the Philippine Province of the Society of Jesus.
