Background
The youngest son of Dr. Runy Primo Rebustillo, Sr. and Elsa Fely Gallardo Lopez. He was ordained deacon in 2004 at the American College in Leuven after obtaining MA in Philosophy (HIW-KU Leuven, 2003) and STB (Faculty of Theology – KU Leuven, 2004). He was ordained priest for the Diocese of Sorsogon in 2006 and served in the Philippines on various capacities, especially as a staff in the seminary and catechetical ministry, after finishing MA in Theology and Religious Studies in KU Leuven. After devoting 7 years of pastoral and academic involvement in the Philippines, he went on to pursue Advanced Master in Theology in KU Leuven (finished in 2013) and worked on a doctoral degree in Theology and Religious Studies in the same academic institution. He had served as an interim chaplain for the Filipino Chaplaincy in Brussels from October 1, 2015 to December 31, 2016 aside from his involvement in other Filipino communities in Europe.
