Transfer of Student Visa Processing from Registrar’s Office to Office of International Relations

SUBJECT:   Turn-Over of Student Visa and Special Study Permit Processing

Effective 1 April 2015, the Office of International Relations (OIR) shall be responsible for the processing of student visas and special study permits of our International Students.

This is in view of efforts towards streamlining processes and centralizing visa processing services for our International Students. Specifically, OIR shall be in-charge of the following:

1. Orientation of students regarding requirements, deadlines, fees, and visa-related policies
2. Distribution of application forms and checklist of requirements
3. Coordination with applicable department(s) regarding acceptance letters and other documents
4. Preparation and checking of application requirements
5. Filing of application to, and claiming of approved visa application, passport, and 1-Card from the Bureau of Immigration

In this regard, please advise all students with Student Visa Conversion, Extension, or Study Permit application concerns to proceed to OIR for assistance. The person in-charge of this is Ms. Maria Paz Socorro Villanueva, Operations Coordinator.
