It is very difficult to evaluate events in the Church in the Philippines after the Second Plenary Council of the Philippines (PCP II) without having an understanding of what kind of council PCP II is. This understanding, therefore, will be our starting point. Then, we will discuss the ecclesiological notion of reception and how the Philippine Church has so far received PCP II.
