This initial apprenticeship course for Doctor of Ministry students is administered by an expert and includes 40 hours of practicum in a more specific area of (a) Religious education (textbook writing, designing catechetical programs, actual teaching, catechists training, etc.), (b) Spirituality and Retreat Direction (spiritual direction, retreat-giving, lectures, etc.). For those specializing in Pastoral Counseling and Spiritual Care, the course includes 75 hours of face-to-face counseling in designated counseling centers, 25 service hours (e.g. assistance in teaching, weekend growth formation programs) plus counseling supervision (10 supervision hours).
