According to the Scriptures is a fundamental expression of the early Christian creeds. The first generations of Christians were eager to find the mystery of Christ announced and prefigured in the pages of the Old Testament. From the Apostolic Fathers to Gregory the Great ( 604) the course will explore the various ways in which the Christian communities of the first centuries read, used and interpreted the Holy Scriptures.
