Abstract:
The main purpose of this research is to examine how the Salesians of Don Bosco accompany the Salesian aspirants of Vietnam and find ways to improve it. The research focused on the teachings of the 2018 Synod “The Youth, the Faith, and Vocational Discernment” and the Apostolic Exhortation “Christus Vivit”. The writer was able to identify the gaps between the magisterial teachings of these documents and the current situation of the Vietnamese aspirancy formation program in terms of accompaniment. Furthermore, this study definitively answered the question regarding the important problem of the formation of aspirants in Vietnam. The results of this study are concrete recommendations for implementation in Vietnam, subject to the approval of the Salesian superiors.
